Who is Dom Brister?
With an ever growing repertoire and more and more venues looking to book Dom, his energy for performance continues to increase.
Dom started singing when he was at school, however with rugby and other sporting passions going on in his life, singing was never going to play a massive part in his life.
However, following a move to New Zealand (to play more rugby) in 2000, on a night out in a karaoke bar, Dom found his passion again - from there it was music all the way.
Dom performed with NZ group the FAB3 (2001 - 2005) touring with the band as one of the 3-part harmony group. Many side projects occurred during this time, which gave Dom an insight into childrens' entertainment with the Wobbles (top 20 single release in the NZ xmas charts). Dom also collaborated with Aaron Keown, along with other musicians, to provide the music for Keown's conspiracy theory movie "POP".
Dom spent 3 years performing in various venues throughout NZ as a Robbie Williams tribute artist. Dom highly enjoyed this time of his life and still enjoys dropping the odd Robbie tune into the shows when requested.
After setting up as a solo artist on the Lincolnshire entertainment scene, Dom was lucky enough to meet Ellie and joined the 3-part harmony group End of Term, along with Emily Bond. Being tall in stature and firm of foot, this was not only a great time for Dom vocally but with Emily, also being a dancer and with the songs in the show being choreographed, Dom was forced to lose some of his inhibitions and actually move on stage! (Those girls have a lot to answer for)
"Dom has acheived so much in his young life that to list it all would take about 3 hours! He was in the televised rounds of New Zealand Idol, and whilst living there appeared in music videos, TV commercials, and various movies including Narnia. He toured as Australasia's most successful Robbie Williams tribute. On his return to the UK he quickly established himself on the Lincolnshire circuit and loves performing wherever he is".
